CRASH is delighted to announce the completion of Manor Cottage at\u00a0Emmaus Brighton & Hove, which will provide a much needed home for six homeless people, thanks to the generosity and team work of CRASH Patrons. Emmaus Communities offer homeless people companionship, a place to live and work, and an opportunity to integrate back into mainstream society.<\/p>\n

The need<\/h3>\n

Christine Squince, Chief Executive of\u00a0Emmaus Brighton & Hove, said: \u2018\u2018Manor Cottage needed extensive refurbishment works to ensure it met building regulations. This included a new flat roof, doors, windows, shower rooms, boiler, reconfiguration of the kitchen and a total redecoration; all of which added up to a budget well beyond our means.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n

How CRASH Patrons helped<\/h3>\n

CRASH Patron companies A-Plant,\u00a0Argent,\u00a0Bauder,\u00a0British Gypsum,\u00a0Buildbase,\u00a0Dulux Trade\u00a0and\u00a0Forterra came together and provided their professional expertise, materials and financial aid to completely refurbish Manor Cottage.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

    The new cottage will provide much needed accommodation for residents who are taking the next step into independent living whilst still benefiting from the support on offer at Emmaus Brighton & Hove.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

    \u2018\u2018Thanks to CRASH and our generous partners, we are now able to house 53 formerly homeless people at\u00a0Emmaus Brighton & Hove, giving more people the chance to rebuild their lives. We couldn\u2019t have done this without the support of CRASH charity and we are incredibly grateful.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
