CRASH is delighted that the building works at\u00a0Wintercomfort for the homeless\u00a0are now complete thanks to the dedication, perseverance and hard-work of CRASH Patrons\u00a0BAM Construct UK\u00a0and\u00a0Imtech\u00a0and a number of CRASH supporters.<\/p>\n

Wintercomfort for the homeless\u00a0is a busy day centre in Cambridge that supports men and women who are homeless by offering vital welfare services and opportunities for learning and training.<\/p>\n

Mark, a former Wintercomfort Service user, said:<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore Wintercomfort; I was homeless, I had no job, no passport, nowhere to shower, nowhere to look for work. Since coming to Wintercomfort, I\u2019m learning English, learning IT skills and have a cleaning job.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

How CRASH Patrons helped<\/h3>\n

Without the generous help of CRASH Patrons and supporters the roof at Wintercomfort would still be leaking, the flooring would be causing trip hazards and there wouldn\u2019t be a reliable power supply throughout the building; all of which are crucial in providing a safe environment for the vulnerable people who access the service.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

    The Impact<\/h2>\n \n \n

    \u201cCRASH,\u00a0BAM Construct UK\u00a0and\u00a0Imtech\u00a0could not have been more generous with their time and considerable resources. The electrical work in particular was very time critical so it didn\u2019t interrupt our vital role of supporting homeless people. The team were very dedicated and we are most grateful to them for all their support\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
